It's been a slow hunt compared to years past, but I've still managed to miss 14 times so far... I guess I just suck at shooting a longbow.



2 more days to get it done. Wish me luck

I had some friends in town this weekend so I couldn’t hunt the beginning of Florida’s final hunting phase - late primitive! This is usually the best phase as far as bucks moving and I had been saving some awesome spots.
Well yesterday morning I send my buddy Austin to my best stand to hunt it in the morning and at 7:20 I got a phone call!

Hopefully those pictures showed up.
I was able to drive out there and help Austin with the recovery. Very happy day!

So now I just need to get through a few more days of a class and I start a four day quota hunt down here lasting Friday through Monday. My goal is to shoot one more buck and doe or two more bucks and call it an official 2020-2021 season.
Then it’ll be time to start focusing on 2021!

Nice job! How did you get that coyote to come in? Or were you just fortunate to have him pass by as you were waiting for a deer?

I was down in a creek bottom where the terrain funneled a lot of animals by me. So while waiting for the deer, in a rain storm, I was lucky enough to have him come by!
