Automotive question?

Weird thing is two sets of quality tires, with modest use rode rough.
I recently had an issue with tires... Usually the tire issues are the hardest to figure out too, especially when it's a vibration.

1. I was driving down the highway, heard a thump, and felt a bump. Knew instantly something was wrong and I switched to my tire display on my dash. I watched tire pressure slowly drop in a tire until I arrived at my destination. Turns out I took an old wheel weight off of someone else's rig and it went straight into my tire. Regardless, the tire was junk and couldn't be repaired. $300 for a new tire.

2. Went out to my truck one morning to head to work and I saw I had low tire pressure. Brought it in and there was a drill-bit angled in to the very edge of my tread. Almost poking the sidewall. They said they can't patch it and I needed another new tire.

Finally said F*** it and bought a new set, then also purchased the "Discount Tire" warranty on all of them. So no matter what happens, I'll be covered. I know I'll never get to use the warranty because now nothing bad will happen. But regardless, it was hopefully the end to my bad luck streak!
