Caribou Gear Tarp

As they lay

The arrow in the head wasn't what did the damage though, the broadhead took out his jugular, a lung, a pulmonary vein, diaphram, and I found the broadhead (the arrow broke) back in his liver.

So even with his head in the way, got plenty of penetration.
Impressive. What was your setup?

Why is there blood clear up to the fletching?

Closest I can figure is the fletching and nock were still somewhere in the skull when the arrow broke, then started backing out as he went on his death run. In the picture the broken end of the arrow is against his neck, but the actual point of entry is the big gash just to the right. I found the broadhead with about 8” of arrow about half way through the liver.

a few on the ground shot.
