Shot at last light this afternoon, sorry about the quality.
It was a horrendous extraction, in fact this Red hind was bigger than i thought, stalked and shot at 20 yards, she ended up in this ditch with a stream running through it.
2 1/2 hours later of dragging and cursing through steep slippery soaked fields i got it back to my truck.

Cheers

Richard

I still find myself looking through this thread, beginning to end, over and over.

Great thread. Not a big bull but my first elk in Fall 2013. If I could shoot a spike every year for eating I'd be a happy hunter.

Bump to the top for Kansasdad. 'Bout that time of year to stop hearing about politics and start looking at some dead animals. :)

Love this thread. The "as it fell" photo is the most important one for me to take.

This is probably my biggest hunting achievement, after 8 years drew a hog deer tag. Literally hundreds of hours of trawling through articles, books, internet pages, calling people, studying google earth and scouting culminated in taking this beautiful non typical 7pt hoggie stag.

Thanks Gerald Martin for bumping this thread back to life!
