GOHUNT - Filter and find hunts like never before

As if I wasn't ready to leave CO already.........the hits just keep on coming.

Do the registration and training requirements only apply to ARs?

The safety training requirement only applies to semi-auto, gas-operated, removable magazine, so essentially just semi-auto and AR-type rifles, AR-type pistols, and a couple random handguns that are actually gas-operated and not recoil-operated. It's just a thinly veiled assault rifle ban, with this ridiculous safety requirement being the attempt at "compromise". I honestly don't think this will affect more than a handful of big-game hunters who use those platforms, possibly some small-game or predator hunters, but it is still a badly-written law (as usual). For example, I heard the other day than all the Mini-14 iterations will fall under the rule except for the Mini-14 Ranch version, there's just too much gray area.

So it’s another one a those epoxy the magazine into mag well, remove mag release and make legal AR15? I tell ya, it can’t be long now before PSA or one of them retools and fabricates new retro fixed-mag SKS and M1 Garands. People in both the right and left coasts would return that investment quick.

There have also been rumors swirling that Polis may have his sights set on a White House run. If that happens it will be imperitive that we remember this and other action such as his support for prop 127. On another note I am very curious how this law affects visiting hunters. Do the registration and training requirements only apply to ARs?
They apply, basically, to NEWLY purchased/sold AR's, AR pistols and some AR style shotguns. Should not affect visiting hunters (just like IL can't make visitors have FOID cards).
