Arround Glacier Park?

Hello Everyone- trying to figure out where I would like to go hunting in MT for a spring bear hunt, it apprears that the majority of people like the NW corner somwhere, would anyone recommend arround the glacier park area or am I still to far East.

There is some great spot and stalk bear hunting around Glacier. This year, so far, snow levels are down considerably so they may be even easier to access than normal. Try the middle fork drainage on the south side of the park, or up the South Fork, find a gated road covered with grass and walk it and you will most likely find bear sign. If the dandelions are coming up on the road, even better.

We are getting some snow now, but it should be really good this year. We just don't have the snow we did last year, it should go away much sooner making access to many more areas easier, and green grass popping sooner.
Call the flathead national forest supervisors office and get one of the big colored travel maps. 406-758-5204. It shows roads and ownership.
