Hey Guys, Im looking to cross Minn off my US turkey slam list and wanted to talk to someone familiar with the SE corner. I will be in SW WI this spring and was thinking of hopping over the border and trying to knock Minn off the list too. If anyone would be willing to help out with some questions drop me a PM or let me know and Ill PM you.

There’s no hopping, you’ll have to cut across Wisconsin to get to SE MN. If you do, I highly recommend checking out the Whitewater WMA, tons of turkeys.

Sorry Im going to be in the SW corner of WI about 1.5 hrs away. I was looking at the whitewater WMA area. How hard is the draw for the permit?

For shotgun, pretty hard. You’re best bet is archery.

There is enough state forest land to have a good hunt in the SE. You could probably get on private for turkey too with knocking on a few doors.
