Are sheds worth anything anymore?

Used to be a feller could get some good money for sheds. Apparently the Chinese liked to grind 'em up and make viagra or something out of 'em.

Is there still a market for sheds or is it even worth bring 'em home, other then to tack 'em on the barn?

to the right person a shed could be priceless....The market isnt all that great.....i think i sold some fresh sheds at about $8.00 a pound....elk is a little less than that? I had a price guide from the guy that I sold them too...but dont know where its at so couldnt tell you for sure...Hard to say really how much they are worth until you give them to me though!

Find the folks making Antler furniture or Antler art. If you can find Ol'Bob on here, he's into that stuff. (Speaking of Ol' Bob, has anyone heard from Bob or Connie lately?) There is a place in Flagstaff that buys antlers and a guy in Utah that used to drive down to Phoenix and buy sheds.. Not sure what the price is, but it's $$..

Howdy Danr, were still around, just BUSY!!
I still buy sheds. Bought about 1000 lbs in last three months, whitetail, axis, fallow, elk, and red deer. I've bought some really good whitetail lately. Good solid antlers will bring about $5-7.50 per lb. Anyone interested can email me and I can confirm prices. [email protected]

& i'm here to tell you that the shed market is alive & well !

we had a record breaking year at our 07' antler auction & spors show in dubuque iowa
& we are looking to have an even bigger turn out for our 08' show comming up march 14-16

i have attached 2 pics for a great example of what happened at our 07 auction

the big set of sheds pictured here are world class stuff !
sporting 33" & 31" main beams they realized a final bid of $19,000 at our 07 auction

the big single shed scoring 121 1/8 " brought $5,000 at our 07' auction
