Pretty interesting video. I watched a lot of the Eastmans videos and read a lot of their publications growing up.

Its a pretty interesting story with lots of old footage that's pretty cool to see!

Sounds awful lol. I didn’t care for driving the AlCan in the winter, and I was in a truck & camper that whole trip. Being stranded outside? None for me, thanks.

Wow, what an incredible story. I remember watching old Gordon Eastman films at our local movie theater.

I met Gordon when I was 12 at local high school when he was showing his film about building the boat with the Eskimos. I was hooked on going North and did so the first time when I was 22. I returned 32 times either hunting or fishing. I think I was able to see all of his films and really admired his adventuresome spirit. There was an another film maker named Bond that did about the same thing only with far less adventure. AH...the good old days! Thanks for sharing.
