Genesis is great , especially if you may have multiple shooters. Keep in mind it won't have a backwards to pull into, so teaching anchor point is critical.

Those very adjustable kid bows are also great, at first. Eventually you get to when they are VERY VERY short on axle to axle
 
Won't mention specific brand, but do one of the highly adjustable ones. It'll grow with him and keep him using it until he's ready to buy a better one!

My grandpa bought me my first bow. He gave me a recurve i used from probably 6-9 years old, then bought me a compound. It's one of those things that I didn't forget and used that bow to kill my first deer at 11!
 
This is what I'm looking at too. Oldest boy is gonna get a bow this spring.
Not sure how old your kids are but I have a Genesis Mini just sitting around that my 12 year old daughter out grew a few years ago. I wouldn’t want much for it.
