Anyone watch the Alito hearnings

My theory is Momma said "George you will replace O'Conner with a women or I'll cut you off." So being the horn dog most men are, George set out to make Momma happy. Several qualified choices declined, which left George in a bind, and thus he selected Harriet who proved to be not up to the task (or faked it after the base started to throw bricks). After that Momma said "you tried George and I'm horny so all is forgiven". So George then selected Alito.

I do think Bush will get one more chance although I'm not sure who will be the next to step down.

rumor has it another judge will retire this year or next, although not sure who.

Biden is almost as bad a Kennedy. he talks down to everyone like he is god then smiles real big like that makes it ok. Although he did have one good suggestion which was to avaoid these hearings all together and go straight to a vote like they use to prior to FDR.

The Dems didn't have a problem with Roberts, many of them confirmed him, ya dumbass. Roberts agreed that Rov v. Wade was "well settled" and that got him through.

If you want to talk about somebody in DC getting their "ass kicked", why don't you look at the Dubya/Harriet Meiers asskicking. How come horse-face Harriet isn't getting confirmed???

Roberts was so untouchable even the Dems realized they could only hurt themselves by trying to attack him. He was primed to kick their asses during his confirmation and they knew it.

Harriet Meiers? Shee-it! Thats easy...she was sacrificial lamb and a diversion. Throw the leftists a bone so they can beat their chests with Chris Matthews about how they "handed" the prez a defeat, then hit them with a nominee of Alito's stature.

Whats most funny in all this is listening to the bloated, drunk, murdering womanizer that is Ted Kennedy, pontificate about character. Rich....

If the GOP confirmed Ginsberg, a former General Counsel of the ACLU no less, without raking her over the coals then its time for the Dems to do the honorable thing for a change. There is NO reason NOT to confirm Alito.

John Paul Stevens? I think. Saw it in a maga zine somewhere this weekend.

And he is a liberal.

The rest are in thier 50's or 60's.
