Has anyone on here been hunting around Craig, CO during Archery or Muzzleloader seasons this year? I'm heading out there next week for second season rifle in 3/301 and just curious how the deer population looks. The weather looks like it should cooperate nicely so feeling very optimistic, just looking for any feedback from those that have already hunted that area this year.

I've been up there all summer shed hunting. Just was up there last weekend and got an antelope. The deer look like they're in great shape this fall. A lot of does had 2 fawns. I saw some really nice bucks as well. I have a 2nd season buck tag in 3/301 too. I found a very nice 4x shed this spring. I'm hoping to run into the buck that was wearing it.
Also got my fingers crossed that the weather is cold enough to put the rattlesnakes to sleep. I saw 9 this year.
