Anyone from Redmond, OR?

I'm thinking about taking a new job in Redmond and was curious what people think of the area. I've heard nothing but good things about it but that's coming from non hunters. I'd be moving from Eastern Montana so I know the hunting seasons won't be as good but is there decent hunting to be had in Oregon? Any input would be helpful. Thanks

I live in bend and have a rental in redmond. Decent little town with house prices a good bit lower than in bend. I drive out of Oregon for a serious elk hunt. Same would be true for deer if I hunted them. We think nothing of shooting a forkey. A 4x is a nice deer here. The OTC Bulls run 250-260 with exceptions. I would have to look up our hunter numbers but they're high compared to other states.
