Anyone else...

I know that last hunt Dink did with his brother they used that technique to get it to stand up. Come on Dink post up that picture and story again. You guys were crazy to do that so close.

I didn't go last year and now my brother will be training for a new job until the end of September, it hurts, real bad.

I gotta say anyone that likes Alaskan Amber is a little sick in the head:confused:

Good luck everyone. I'm planning on going last week of August. Hunt partner informed me last week he may have to backout because he might be closing on a boat that week (by boat I mean million dollar commercial fishing vessel). He should know in a week or two and that only leaves me a month to find a replacement. I've got a couple interested parties so we'll see. Still looking for a 40 incher...
My 35" and buddies 34.5" from 2009

There's a guy on the Alaska Outdoors Directory that also lost his partner for sheep, he''s going in the Birooks I think. You might check over there and shoot him a PM if you think it's worthwhile. Good luck, either way.

Thanks MD, I saw that over there. Time won't work and I don't like hunting with someone I don't know. Also don't like hunting on someone elses terms, I'm 100% on sheep and I'd like to keep it that way. Nothing against that guy, but the Brooks range sucks for sucess so I'm not going to drop $2.5K on that expedition. I'm positive my intel is solid gold on this area holding a couple 40+ inch rams. Sorry guys I'm not giving anything else up.

August 26 to September 2, too bad you're not a resident or I might ask you to go. :D

"Dad...Dad is that you?" You always wanted a stepson didn't you?:D Now if my brother tagged along we'd be rolling smooth. I wouldn't let him pack a gun because he's already gotten a couple and I'm getting skunked. He's a mountain goat as far as packing though.

Headed out next Friday for a scouting and wood cutting trip into the DCUA. I got lucky and drew my 2nd tag for that area in the last 3 years. This year i've got a better plan and should have a real good chance at a good ram. Come August my partner and I will be meeting 2 more of my buddies on the 25th then riding in at midnight into base camp. I can hardly wait for this hunt, it's going to be fun!

Thought it would be pretty funny to rub this one in a little... :)

I'd have dropped $2500 for a 46" ram.
