Anyone else see this?

I drove by Liberty last night. Pretty cool it came from the same herd that wanders through my yard. That crowning is pretty common. Somewhere I have some trail cam pics from a few years ago when a buddy had the archery bull tag. Definitely some monsters out there. I've held a set of sheds that scored almost 400" without any width.

Just for fun searched youtube to see what Colockum videos there are, I think these 3 summarize the area well:

Lots of elk in a concentrated area

Big bulls most will never get to shoot

Lots of irresponsible hunter behavior, I've heard shooting that was dozens of shots in a row from multiple guns, when there's lots of cow tags that start the 5th day of the season.

It's funny how guys will shoot monster whitetails from treestands in farm country and no one questions if they're legit, but if a bull is shot in proximity to civilization somehow it's not.
My first thought was shooting Yellowstone bison as soon as they step out of the park. People can do some strange things to justify their definition of fair chase.

How's the heated yard blind coming along? I imagine there will be some competition for those elk raffle tickets next year.
There's competition every year...

WA has a bonus point system for special draw tags. There is one single rifle bull tag for my unit. With my 15 points I still have a 1/10,000 odds of drawing the tag. The raffles offer a significantly better odds for a modest price

Well, regardless, I'm impressed with the skill it took to get those pictures. Hopefully this year will be your lucky year.

Explain to me how you joined in October and have 18,000 some posts.............
I am guessing @TheJason is a keyboard warrior rather than an actual hunter. How else could someone get that many posts in just a couple of months - a couple of months of hunting season, at that.

@Potsie, what do you think? 😀

How much will that bull shrink during the drying period? mtmuley
About as much as I shrink jumping in the ocean, 6-7 inches.

What in the actual F!!! Beyond pathetic… unless it’s a hack job trick? There’s no way 300 post a day average

I hope some day to kill something big enough to get all you guys this wound up. I really wish it would quit snowing so I can go hunting
Bring a sack of cash over here to Montana and I'll take you on a trophy yard deer hunt. Probably the best mule deer hunting in Montana.
