He’s wearing these boots - which are great and I own a pair. Have not hunted elk in them but who knows what it’s like where he’s at. I’m sure they’ll also keep a smile on his face amidst all the jealous hate he’s about to wade through if he logs into the internet..

Nice looking boots^. I have the Muck version in camo which actually are great winter construction boots...warm, sturdy, durable. I would hunt in them if I didn't have to walk terribly far and navigate rough terrain.
I'll bet that Hunters feet are dry.

In today’s era of game cameras, outdoor recreationists, internet chatter, outfitter saturation, highways, predators, poachers, price tags on trophy animals, etc, how is it even possible for an animal like this to 1) get like this, and 2) avoid having 500 people after it 365 days a year. I am assuming it had access to prime habitat/farmland, was able to linger on private ground refuges or a park during hunting season for almost its whole life. It’s an amazing elk, and if the narrative above checks out, an equally amazing achievement against all conceivable odds, regardless of how much money one has or would be willing to spend.

if it was WA then it's because only a select few can hunt branch antler bulls in the eastern 2/3 of the state. I get giant bulls in my yard every year, though not THAT giant.

We aged a bull at 21 years old from Washington. Oldest one I know of (don’t always have gender submitted). The bull was found dead in spring so likely died of old age from my understanding. The hunters knew about this bull and hunted him for a decade or more if I recall.
