Anyone elk hunt in MT HD 319 and have moose sightings?

Hey all,

I drew a moose tag in 319 and looking to gather as much info as I can.

The moose unit is the eastern half of the elk unit.

Let me know any locations you've seen them. Hope to get a nice bull with a big assist from the hunt talk community.

Yep.. I spend a lot of time in the northern part of 319 each bow season (6-mile, 10-mile, slaughterhouse, etc.. I have for about the last 30 years..... (makes me feel older than I feel!) .In the area I hunt, there's a lot fewer moose than there were 20 years ago.

I ran into a guy from Butte with the bull tag last year a couple times. He hadn't filled it, last I'd seen him. He said he's seen some nice bulls, but nothing BIG. I probably ran into 10 bulls during the season. The last one, was the second to last weekend of gun season, in 6-mile. He was OK, but not big.

Scouting update

Saw this girl in my district last weekend. Anyone else spend any time in this area?
