Anybody reload 16 ga. ?

I'm looking for an effective load for my 1925 Browning A5 16-65 shotgun. I have nuisance infestation. I want to use the components I already have. 16-65 Cheddite purple primed hulls, 7/8-1" wads and shot cards. 700x or 800x powder #6 and 7-1/2 lead shot. I have an older cheapo Lee loader with crimp die. I'm looking for a decent recipe that won't damage my 99 year old Browning A5.

Ravens are federally protected to my understanding. I wouldn’t go about shooting any after posting about it online.

I agree. They build nests all around my place of employment and are a general nuisance making big messes. Crows can be removed in most states for being destructive but ravens are to be treated more like hawks, owls, and eagles.

I just did a quick search and I think there's a season for them. I'll ask our F&G guy. He's a decent guy.

My f&g guy says yup they are protected! There's no season on them either. I need a depredation permit.

Dumb question, but can you shoot lead shot in CA? Or is the lead ban just for waterfowl and big game species?

Pretty sure lead is banned across the board . I'm not exactly in a high risk area.
