Anybody had a close calls in the outdoors

Very close call a couple weeks ago. I was Heading back out to Va. in the morning. Change up my placement for the late morning hunt if I don't tag one early. And I don't try to kill myself like I did last week falling on a dead stick. Running and gunning and tripped , Just lucky it had a blunt end. If I did this on the farm in Lousia it would have been over. The beavers don't leave blunt ends. I was about a mile or so in the way back , it would have been a long time finding me back there.

My brother and I decided to canoe a river we knew nothing about in Northern Minnesota. About a mile down stream, I started to get a strange feeling something wasn't right. I finally convinced my brother to pull over and have a look see. Around the corner from where we pulled out was this.

Ended up wrapping the canoe around a rock further down steam, and had to walk out. Could have been worse.
