iphone pic of a couple young bulls we ran across last season on a day we cut down an Xmas tree, and my son shot a small whitetail buck about 15 minutes after we saw these moose.
I am Jonesing so hard to see a moose in the wild. Where we hunt in GMU26/Routt county I am the only one in camp who hasn't seen one (or many). Closest ones have been about 1/2 mile from camp......some day I guess
Getting better moose pics is one reason I think about having a nicer camera. But still just sticking to the cell phone camera...
Decent looking bull peaking out of a burn in late August 2018. Saw 6 different moose that afternoon.
Had a standoff with this cow and its calf for about 10 minutes before it went decided to disappear into the brush. Then it came back out to the clearing and hung out for 45+ mins while I was waiting for hunting partner to show up in Sept 2019. Was blowing the elk bugle and it would occasionally look my way, but didn't really care.
Sometimes I take a shot and think "that was a great shot" and later it doesn't end up what I was hoping. Then there is the flip side, "I don't even remember taking this shot, but I like it". This shot is over 30MB, so I might have to break down and make some wall art, sans snot drops. ;-)
Kinda sucks following mtmiller in a photo thread but someone has to. iPhone Bighorns bull late June. Saw a really nice bull a couple weeks ago but, was to busy watching him I didn’t even think to take a picture.
