When preparing for a trip to visit Grandma and Grandpa, my daughter said she wanted to see a moose. I wish I had a photo of her reaction when a small bull ran out onto the road in front of us. She ended up seeing three on the trip. Now, at 10, she wants to shoot one.

this guy was about 50 yards from my pickup as I came off the mountain ... I wasn’t thinking I would see anything and he scared the bejesus out of me! Not many moose in this area and never thought he would be here!

My first Montana Shiras moose, many years ago, shot with my Herter's .30-06 that I had re-chambered to .30 Gibbs and a 180 grain Nosler Partition.

Took this one today while walking the bird dog, only a few miles from home. He's convinced that she's a really big dog, and if he works hard enough at it, she'll play with him. Sigh...
