Any Insight into Elk Herd Health in these E. Oregon Units?

Looking at drawing Murderers Creek (Unit 46) or Pine Creek (Unit 62) for elk this fall in eastern Oregon. I was wondering has anyone hunted these units in the last few years and have any insight into how the herd and bulls are doing? GoHunt says the bull to cow ratios are good, but I'd love to hear from someone who's had boots on the ground about how they're doing and what you've seen. Appreciate it much.

Both have plenty of good bulls and ODFW's ratios are BS. Pine creek can be pretty rugged and nasty, typically rugged and nasty country holds old animals.

I hunted Murderer's Creek back in 2012. Elk were doing really well, was in some every day and saw some nice bulls. This was despite a lot of wild horses that were clearly degrading the habitat. Haven't been back since, not because its a poor unit, just because I decided to hold out and hunt the Snake R. unit. Which unit did you end up hunting? Lots of wild horses still in 46?
