Any hockey fans out there?

This is why I didn't get my hopes up. I knew better. Back to back ot losses, even with the fabulous story of the flower in the net back in Vegas is about normal and what I did expect

Agreed. Haven't seen much out of Nyquist since we got him, been a dud
Dud is an understatement. They gave up a 2nd for him and he's borderline unplayable. MFer didn't even try to drag his toe. Pee wees have more awareness than that. Not a big fan of laying the loss on one guy since it's a team game, but this loss is on Gustav.

How about on Boldy for his major f up on the shorty? That was bad, I could have done better at age 6

That shorty was easy to forget happening so early with the Kaprizov goal right after, but man was it shameful to let them march down the ice 2 on 3 and walk away with a goal

Yeah that wasn't good but he's not a defensemen either. Playing 5 forwards on the PP was begging Vegas to attack short-handed. Eichel never once thought about clearing the puck. They saw the 5 forwards and had a plan to attack offensively because they knew they'd have guys playing out of position.

Don't defend him by saying he isn't a defensive men. He was way out of position and just being on the other side of gus reduces the chance of a goal there by like 90% or something

I'm not defending him. It was an awful play. I'm just saying I'm not surprised by it at all.
I've watched the replay 10 times this morning and it looks like as soon as Vegas tips the pass and steals the puck and he realizes he needs to get back on D he locks on to Eichel with the puck and is completely obliviously to the fact they have Karlsson joining on the play. He never turns his head until the puck touches Karlsson's tape. He looked like he was lost from the get go.

as a hockey fan in general however, the last two games between the Wild and VGK have been absolutely amazing. Well worth the admission and time following along. I'm honestly just hoping that it carries the same back into St. Paul - win or lose just give me a great hockey game.

I was happy last night the lineup went back to having Merrill in over Buium. Merrill made numerous outstanding defensive plays and I don't recall ever seeing him and thinking "what in the heck was that Merrill?" I hope Hynes keeps that going.

Hynes made a lot of other changes that I found interesting. Kaprizov was out there at times with Johansson and Gaudreau and then Zuc was on the top line with EK and Boldy. The first PP unit kept changing. Hartman, EK, Boldy, Kap, Spurgeon, Zuc and Gaudreau were all the ones I saw at some point out there with the main unit last night. Back to Boldy, he kept showing up on the PP kill first unit instead of EK (I think or maybe instead of Gaudreau). There was enough juggling that it was hard to keep track of.

Yup, he could have made more effort to be onside too which is the bad part of this
I was thinking that happens tough luck until I saw the replay. Pretty easy to avoid when you see that, even the TV announcers said that was a mistake on Nyquist that should have been avoided.

I sure agree the series has been great. Win or lose the wild youngsters are getting great experience, once the reins are off big dollar deals with the Parise/Suter noose cut, this team has the potential to be a stronger cup contender.

And Faber walked in ready as a rookie but how good is he playing now? Awful impressed.

knights in six! Flower poisoned goose so he could get one last taste of the playoffs.
