The Colorado Division of Wildlife (DOW) is looking for help in finding the person or people responsible for killing three pronghorn antelope that were dumped south of Hayden.
The animals' carcasses were dumped recently in a field off Routt County Road 51C, near the Yampa Valley Airport.
District Wildlife Manager Jason Trousdale gathered evidence at the scene and is hoping someone saw the people who dumped the carcasses at the site.
"Hopefully somebody out there saw a vehicle or overheard somebody talking about killing the antelope," said Trousdale.
Trousdale said the pronghorn were skinned, field dressed, and had been hung somewhere, but for whatever reason the animals weren't consumed. Dumping animals in such a fashion could lead to waste of game charges in addition to any license violations that may have occurred.
Anyone with information about this crime is encouraged to contact the DOW office in Steamboat Springs at (970) 870-2197.
