Antelope...Lets See Them!!!

Wyoming October 2020 with my little man and good buddy from Laramie behind the camera. Had a few bigger bucks I was interested in but with a big storm coming in overnight I decided to go for the sure thing on a buck I was plenty happy with. I just hope it doesn't take so long to draw next time!

WY 10-9-2020. I shot this one after looking over a bunch of bucks all about the same size. Made a long poke with my 6.5 Creedmoor loaded with 130 Sierra Gamechangers. Complete penetration with good expansion at 665 yds.

My parents retired out west to be closer to my brother and I, and my dad has been disappointed as he has been having some breathing issues severely limiting him. My brother was able to get him into range for his first ever buck on a public land spot I told them about. He made an excellent shot I was told, and I haven’t seen my dad look this sincerely happy in quite some time! My brother and I are paying for a shoulder mount for him so we can cherish this memory for the rest of our lives. I’m super happy for him!!

I shot this one back early last month; just getting around to posting. It was my second trip to Wyoming.
Beautiful country out there! This was the longest shot I have ever taken on an animal(346 yds). I normally hunt the woods in Va, so the normal shot is 50-70 yds. I was shooting a Tikka 7mm w/Zeiss 3-15x50 Hornady 139gr

Tagged this little guy the first week of November. I had both A and B tags for the area. I could see that some of the larger bucks had already shed both horns. Drove 14 hours round trip to get 27 pounds of antelope in the freezer, which is worth it to me.

We'd been in the area during the general season opener when the ground was snow covered and temperatures were single digits and we couldn't get a good stalk in. They were incredibly tough to spot even thought they were in large herds.

Here is a pic from Unit 3 in CO last month. Had a blast looking a bucks with my wife. We settled for this guy, pictures makes him look bigger than he is, busted prongs, not really big, but damn good eating. Would recommend staying in Craig if hunting the unit. Neat little town.
