That's a hell of a shot!Nebraska Antelope that my son shot. I'm in the middle and my son on the left made a great shot at 497 yards. Yes its the same photo as in my avatar. Edit - Sorry I was wrong on the caliber. He used a Tikka T3 Hunter in 6.5x55 - Hornady SST 140

Thanks CORN. They both are pretty good with a rifle, far better than myself. With this buck, things just lined up. Little to no wind, a calm grazing animal, and a broad side shot presentation. About the only thing that didn't go well, he was in a location that made getting closer difficult at best. Just glad my son had the experience to make a one shot kill at that range. The buck took like one step and fell over, nice and clean! That's a hell of a shot!
Eastern WY. Never saw an antelope water in three days, water standing everywhere. Watched this one bed a mile and half away. Made a big loop and came from above him, getting within 80 yds before he saw me. His curiosity closed the distance to 40.
Congrats!Filled my tag this morning in Montana.
which cart do you like better?A few from my past hunts in eastern Montana...
