Badlandcat,
Man first you drop a nice muley pic on us and then this massive lope. How big are the bases on you antelope? Awesome mass and he carries it all they way up. Was that with the 6.5-.284 also?
Both taken with the 6.5 x 284.
Daughters was scouted, patterned and taken after a ton of hard work and bad luck.(09 Oct Blizzard)
Mine was taken because I would check on a herd building up in the winter area every other day. He is only 13", but grosses 81. Can't see real well in pictures, but he has 4 nontypical points that total 4 1/4" in length it would be nice if you could add it to the score
Daughters grosses a little over 82.
The wife and I's 2010 MT season. She took her buck the first hour of opening day and i took mine the next afternoon. I took the doe the next weekend.
...and our 2009 season. As you can see my wife didn't have to go too far that year. I spotted a herd w/in 150 yards of the camper while it was still dark. I got her set up and she dropped the only buck in the herd about 1 minute after legal light. Not a biggun by any means but a good close shot on a calm animal resulting in a nice clean kill, which means a lot to both of us. An hour or 2 later I got a 265 yard shot at my buck.
Here I am getting ready to dress my wife's buck where he dropped!
I'm sure you all remember opening day MT 2008 with all of the snow. Harshest weather I've ever hunted goats in. Picked this guy out of a herd of 100 head, there were bigger ones in there but too many bodies to shoot. When he offered a shot I didn't think twice.
Our 2007 season my wife shot this wide one she liked and I took my second buck with archery gear. The morning after I got mine I decoyed one in for my buddy.
