Another trophy goose today

44 degrees and bright sun shine by 8:30 am done with a limit of geese by 9:15 am

Here is a sweet quill shot this morning by a group hunting just east of us.

Congrats on yet another great day of hunting. What's a quill, is that some sort of cross? I'm starting to worry about the waterfowl in your area, they'll be much safer when they get by me.

Wish I could get into them like that sometime.

Had never heard about the Quill Lake thing until someone mentioned it on here recently but do recall someone shooting one about 15 years ago out of the same field we were hunting. When I mentioned what a neat looking bird it was the chap that shot it said I could have it to mount if I wanted to but I'm not interested in what isn't mine.

When I go to SK , I hunt just south of Quill Lakes,,,,,kill "Quill" honkers, snows and my favorite. Sand Hill cranes...
