Nice bear, carried mine out the same way with one buddy. About a mile on ours too, wasn't too bad but my shoulders were bruised.

I had a taxidermist skin the bear and take out the paws, but decided to hold off until I decided what to do with it. Right now it is in the freezer, and I decided that I'm definately gonna make a rug out of it. I got a few prices and I'm wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a taxidermist in the Bozeman area as far as cost and quality go. I'd appreciate any input. Thanks

Dang I wish I was still in the Bear woods this week. Seen a whole bunch on the drive down to Denver. One hillside we could see 7 within about one square mile, got me all jacked up. I wanted to turn right back around and get after em.

I had left him a message and he got back to me this morning and he was the best deal so I'm gonna take it to him to get it rugged. Seven bears on a hillside! Dang... too bad you couldn't get after em
