I need a motel to catch about 7 hours of sleep.

Must be near airport, clean, food nearby, inexpensive as possible.

Places to stear clear of are appreciated as well.

moosie you forgot he said "inexpensive as possible", but it meets all the other things he wanted, he didnt say anything about a bed but he might get lucky at the bush haha

I flew into Fairbanks at midnightnight for my sheep hunt. I rolled out the Thermalrest, set my alarm, and took a decent nap. It saved me at least 150 bones, plus the taxi fare to and from.

I have slept behind the check-in counters more than once in Anchorage airport.

Hmmpf. Sleeping in the airport. I hadn't considered that. I'll have a pad and bag, (assuming my baggage arrives with me). I suppose I could clean up in the bathroom before getting 10 days of sheep hunt stink on me.

Arrival time is 11PM in Achor. Guide picks me up early AM. Sleeping on-sight may work real fine.

Indian Larry, thanks very much for your generous offer of putting me up.

There are a TON of new hotels within 15 minutes of the airport and there are a few that are closer. I'll see if I can find the names of some of them and will let you know. I know of one that has a freezer where you can store your sheep meat as well, that is if your bringing it back with you.

I stayed at the Small Sea Bird Inn last November. They have a freezer, and shuttle service to and from the airport.
