I can’t do neat. Shots are terrible straight. Pendleton on the rocks certainly gets the job done and isn’t terrible.

The right whiskey is good neat or on the rocks….good for those contemplative moods. Mixed are good if I’m feeling more gregarious. The hard stuff hurts much less than the sugary girly drinks, so I stick to that if I have an option.

G&T on a rare occasion is refreshing, otherwise bourbons neat/rocks for everything. Don’t care for mixers, nor do I need the calories. Good tequila out of the freezer yum!

I don’t crave it unless I’m having a very good steak, but most bourbons or scotch are great straight or on the rocks for me. I don’t care for much of the Canadian or American whiskey though. I always miss that burn. I prefer not to mix anything with them but ice, though there were a few bottles of Scotch I’ve had that improved with a splash of water.
