South East Alaska has to be one of the most incredible places on the face of the planet, I can't get enough of it. I spent this past weekend fishing a small creek filled with a couple varieties of salmon and dolly varden. Yesterday while knee deep in the water, I had a high pucker-factor encounter with a good size brown bear. I'll put those pics up after work tomorrow.

Those black bears in the first picture look like they have pretty small ears that are quite a ways apart!

All the bears look like they have put on enough weight for the winter already!
