I got this bad boy back in the beginning of June. I got him after I had a clean miss on a bigger bear, and blew a stock on a different one. Saw close to 30 total this season.

Looks like some good eats. I am looking at bear hunts my buddy really wants to hunt them sometime so I am trying to figure it out and put a hunt togther for him. What taste better spring or fall bear?

In Alaska after May 31 they don’t even require you to salvage the meet. I won’t hunt a bear in the fall cus it would taste like a dead humpy.

I live here so that makes the logistic easier for me on this hunt.
If Your going to kuoreanof you will be flying into Petersburg, and I haven’t been there since I was a kid.

Thanks. Our biggest hurdle is how to get both of us to the same spot on the island in one trip with a weight capacity of 900 pounds on the skiff. Not sure if we need the boat and a float plane or just the boat.

Very Nice bear. Been trying to draw here in MI for several years now and can't seem to get a tag. Last time I got a tag was 1995. Would love to do a SE Alaska hunt like Randy does. Such a beautiful place to be be.

Very Nice bear. Been trying to draw here in MI for several years now and can't seem to get a tag. Last time I got a tag was 1995. Would love to do a SE Alaska hunt like Randy does. Such a beautiful place to be be.
