Airport Whiners shut up...

So, what do you guys think about the folks crying about the full body scanners and pat downs at the TSA airport security check. I am sick of the whiners, do these dopes not know that we have guys come waaaaaay to close to taking planes down with shoes and underware explosives already?
Some whine that it a violation of rights or too much radiation to get a pat down or full body scan. Question, when did it become a right to fly on an airplane rather than a choice? I mean really, if your embarrassed of what your scan looks like and too shy to get a pat down take the bus or train. They have a choice, it is not manditory to fly. They need a big glass of shut the hell up. I want my plane to stay flying without some nut blowing it up, so i will do what they say to make it safe. We gave up freedoms for safety from the terrorists and it will never change so we need to get used to it.

What's your take?

I don't like planes being blown up either, BUT

We just sent several thousand of our boys overseas to die while defending our rights, including the 4th amendment.

I guess if we can preserve our 4th amendment rights at the cost of a few exploding planes, I really don't see how that is any different than sending military off to die for the same preservation.

I think TSA rules are a little GAY. We flew to Canada and they required that my buddy give up his small screwdriver set to fix his glasses. And he did. Then, we went into the airport and you could find a screwdriver set for sale in the store. SERIOUSLY ? Be consistant at least.

Although I think there are way to many whiners..... I see their point. It's time for me to make a career change so cop some feels and get paid for it !!!

Every time the govenment takes away a piece of your freedom, they do it under the guise of making society safer...

There is a limit. Not to mention we've avoided exploding planes for almost a decade without scans and groping.

I don't consider being asked to go through a body scan or a pat down giving up freedom.... really.
Freedom is this, you have a choice not to take an airline and drive your truck there instead. Freedom is running a business (airline) and choosing what you require for security, Freedom is telling whiners to shut up and use another form of transportation if they think going through a scanner is such a bother and invasion of privacy. Giving up freedom and an inconvenience is not the same thing. Giving up freedom means you don't have a choice and in this case you do because there is other ways to get from point A to point B

I say let them walk to their destination if they don't want to walk through a scanner. I agree we need to protect our freedom... but walking through a scanner and following the rules (no weapons, bombs, screwdrivers...) is not such an inconvenience to me that it inhibits my freedom. Cops die all the time because of search and seizure rules that are supposed to be proctecting everyones freedom...

IMO, The solution is not to make more rules... it's to enforce the rules we have and keep the jackasses who break them where they belong... jail, prison, execution... Ed F

You mean the TSA that was created with the Socialist Goverment takeover by the failed Dubya/Cheney regime where they removed private corporations who had contracts to provide the service in order to EXPAND government to provide the same service?

Not true. Most officers die in car accidents. Most of them that are shot are blindsided when they walk up on a car during a routine traffic stop.

If you want to start blaming amendments that are "supposed to be protecting everyones freedom" then you may as well attack the second amendment too

Hmm...I guess the Supreme Court could have ruled that you could move away from Chicago if you wanted to own a gun BUT THANK GOD THEY DIDN'T and chose to uphold our rights instead. Constitutional rights are not defined by whether you have a choice in the matter or not.

an guess you missed what daley did after the supreme court ruling. he went around the ruling in a matter of days. still can't have a gun in the city. well, not true. you can have one, as long as it stays inside the house.

BRITISH MUSLIMS BEGAN A THREE DAY STRIKE

LONDON -- Muslim suicide bombers in Britain are set to begin a three-day
strike this week in a dispute over the number of virgins they are
entitled to in the afterlife. Emergency talks with al-Qaida have so far
failed to produce an agreement.

virgins a suicide bomber would receive after his death will be cut by 20
