A Proper Sheep Rifle

Question, can my new Featherweight 30-06 be considered a proper sheep rifle?

Absolutely not. You need a .340 creed wildcat super magnum with a wood folding stock and a 65mm bell scope. Barrel can’t be fluted and you need about a 1 lb trigger. Total weight should be around 6 lbs. Anything less and you’re risking it.

That one there won’t do. You might as well sell it to me so you’re not tempted to use it.

Beautiful rifle, that is certain.

I've long owned a poor man's sheep rifle, a Remington BDL in .270 Win. It has not helped me draw a ram tag however. It has been very useful for everything else, I've hunted.

If you were to draw a ram tag that might have fallen into my hands... I can't wish you good luck, maybe a small amount, maybe.

How’s that Henry shoot? Iv been considering getting a 44 mag lever gun for weapon restriction areas
I love it. I wish a .44 mag lever action was legal for weapons restricted areas in Montana, it would be perfect for river bottom whitetails.

Oh I was under the impression it was straight wall.
Shotgun, archery, muzzleloader, or handgun only. You’re good with a .44 revolver, but not a rifle.
well looks like I’ll have to keep it to the 10mm Glock.
