So, after a month and a half of run around trying to get my fuel ration card (hazards of bringing a Brit spec vehicle to Germany), I got it Friday. To celebrate I filled up the tank and decided to run up to "Musée National d'Histoire Militaire" in Diekirch. It was a nice, but rainy, trip up the Moselle valley to the Museum. I got there to find it overrun with Brits. Those jokers are insane for rein-acting :) This place had a ton of stuff and they did a great job on the displays. Here are some pics I took....it will take a couple of posts :)

Oh yeah, here is a little trivia teaser.......There are 3 weapons shown in these pics (used in WWII) that I used while on active duty....NAME UM!!!

I'm gonna go with the 1911, the M-14, and Ma Duece.

Looks like a great museum. Maybe I'll get a chance to check it out someday.

I am confused, what have us 'Brits' got to do with the exhibit? interesting as it is.
Cheers
Richard

Richard,
These were rein-actors. Walking around taking pictures and notes( I would suspect they choose to be Yanks or Krauts for their exploits). You lot have an affinity for the rein-acting scene like no one else :) Seemed like they were particularly interested in the vehicles.

BSD,
Good shot....you go 2/3!! The third one is one that most would not think still in service (full disclosure, not in the regular Army but in my SF unit) :)
