I would like to hear more about his life. I know a few years ago I exchanged messages with a photog that said after the rut nobody really knew where he went or found his sheds. Sounds like maybe that wasn’t accurate

To posters bagging on the photographer for finding him, RMP is big. It’s 265k acres or >400 square miles. That would make it the second largest mountainous unit in CO (and #1 most extreme by country). Absolutely you can see him from the road - but he didn’t spend his days by the road. An ATV on forest service roads is far less work given the foot requirements to get deep into the park
