Yea when comparing charge weights they are nearly identical. The difference is the prc is throated to run your heavy for caliber bullets in a 3.34” action.
Yup - as evidenced by the length and bc of the 169 lrx, plus superior speed.

Reading aint for everyone though :)

I haven't shot factory loads but I have a couple of loads worked up and all are slower than expected. Every load has been accurate.
20" barrel suppressed. Adg brass
180eldm N570 has been fastest at 2800 with an ejector mark but no bolt lift
180eldm with H1000 i get ejector marks at 77gr 2775fps.
76.6gr will get me 2750 and 0.61" 5 shots at 100 and 2.5" at 40020250129_144207.jpg20250209_174816.jpg

This is my next load project with a G1 of 620 and the velocity of a 160gr bullet. It should be a fun one.

You fitting them in the mag?

Believing book velocities is laughable when powder charges are the same. Like comparing a 243 and a 6mm creedmoor and saying the 6mm creedmoor is faster

What does Single Feed mean, aside from maybe being too long for the mag? Is it because the tip may be damaged in the magazine under recoil?
Never mind, found the answer in FAQ section.

Yeah it’s just about coal. 145 “single feed” lazers in my 7 saum are only around 3.0” coal and feed worse from my magazines than 175/180 elds, Bergers, and scenars at 3.10”ish.

Wasnt sure - the FAQ seems to imply they need seated deeper.

The CEBs have that drive band that you don’t want to seat inside the neck so the seating depth is what it is. You just seat that drive band directly in front of the case mouth and roll on.

I don't have a chrono so just went off the box this is out of a Bergara Carbon Wilderness with the Hornaday 175gr ELD-X precision hunters. First group was my 6,7,8th shot out of the gun at 100yds 20240813_115108.jpg

This next group was moving out to 200. Shots 9,10,11 out of the gun. Pretty happy with the performance and gun likes it's.

Capable shooting...

Not to derail, but how do these and those "new" Barnes (the LRX Bore Riders) not end up with concentricity issues? I haven't messed with them at all, but the mechanics of them just seem like it would be an issue. Maybe I've got them pictured wrong in my head.

Concentric as in the bullet seated concentric to the brass or when going down the bore? You just don’t seat them deep enough to where the drive band is and the portion actually in the case neck is all a consistent diameter. No reason I can think of the ammo wouldn’t be as concentric as anything else.
