Does anyone on here hunt with a 7mm WSM

Yessir. I'd use it more if the brass was easier to come by so the 270 wsm usually gets the nod.

Simple run through a die to turn your 270WSM brass into 7mm WSM brass.

I know, wrong headstamp and all, but....

The 7 has its shoulder pushed forward. A guy could make a 7-270 wsm and it’d be great, though

I think you'd have to neck up to 30, then down again to 7mm in order to create enough of a false shoulder to headspace on. So yes it can be done

Ah, fair point. Do-able but seems like a PITA.

Yeah, exactly. If starting from scratch on a build, a 7-300 WSM or 7-270 WSM are dimensionally the same as each other and established wildcats with reamers. You can use bushing dies for sizing. Although it would cost more up front, you'd save the difference in quality brass and time. I'd think that'd be the easier button.
