6mm Coolkids update

Took a chilly trip out to the range, shots 1-8 with Horn factory 108 gr ELD - M to get it on paper. No cleaning or break in voodoo between shots, I don't believe in that hokey crap. But I did rub an eagle feather on the barrel to sharpen the rifle's eye, and waved a crystal around it's aura to center it's energy. As you can see, that stuff actually works..



Last group best group, shots 24-26, shooting 95 gr Sierra TMK's over RS Big Game. Looks like a keeper, it should ride in the truck very nicely. I will change the cheepy redfield out for a Leupold Mark AR 3-9x40, and give it a rattle can dazzle camo. I'll also try some 105 gr Scenars for S&G's.

I've never shot a Ruger American, but I keep hearing good things about them. Nice caliber too.

Thanks for sharing. I wonder how it would shoot the 115gr vld's. Im thinking i might have to get a 6mm creedmoor Ruger American, on one site right now they are 350!

I don't know if I want to mess around with VLD's anymore, too much hair pulling. TMK's are much easier to find loads for. I'll toss some Scenars to see what happens..
