I'm three years behind you in age. I hope your health isn't what made your mind up about this being your last elk hunt. I hope to continue for several more years at least. The altitude kicks my behind every year, but I still give it a go. Please let us know how you do and post some pictures !! Good Luck !

Good luck! I hope to see the story!

I see you're from the Judith Basin. I spent 10 days in the little belts last fall chasing bugles. Beautiful area.

I'm doing Good for my age, still do my share of outdoor activities.
It's the packing meat that has become harder and of course the hills are steeper.

Maybe I’ll see you out there, I too got lucky!
This permit as you may know gives us a large area to hunt with lots of accessible land.
I spend a lot of time up there fishing, shed hunting, and other stuff.
I don't have honey holes as far as elk goes, but lots of places where I've seen elk in the Fall while deer hunting.
Maybe as Fall gets closer I can give you some tips if your interested.
On the pm.

Sounds good would love to connect. Last time I had the permit was in 2017, I’m sure much has changed since then.
