Hello all,
I am going to rebarrel my pre-64 model 70 to 6.5 creedmoor for hunting, is 18 inches of barrel too short?

Depends on what you plan on using it for. However generally, no, 18 inches isn't too short to use for hunting

Nope. Really depends what you want to do with it but 18 is not too short

Nope. Nothing wrong with 16" or 18" imho.

Just understand the velocity you give up. All rifles will be a little different but this gives a good idea.

I dialed in and killed a deer with a 16” barrel 6.5CM last year. The thing drives tacks. Sweet gun actually! I agree with @Forkyfinder, understand your velocity loss, especially if doing any ballistic calcs.

I think with that caliber, the length of your barrel has to directly correlate with how big your manbun is
