50/50 Raffle

I've won two 50/50 raffles, both somewhere between 500 and 1000. They were held ahead of other raffles so I tossed half back into those which was rhe same as giving some back to the org

If it was a RMEF or DU banquet I'd throw some of it back into the raffle or auction. Kid with cancer, whole different thing.
That organization is already getting 50% of the funds for the raffle.

I always buy the tickets in one of my kids names. Who will shame the kid for not giving it back? Throw the cash in their college savings fund and move on.

I’ve never won one, but I’ve also never thought about giving it back if I did. They are already getting 50%.

It irritates me more when people don't take the money.

The answer is easy if at a fundraising event. If the organizers plan correctly and it is not the last thing for the evening, turn it right back into the proceeds by buying something in the auction.
