308 Moses

** Are barreled uppers available , and if so, are they headspaced with JP bolts or others?
We can build you one to the spec you'd like. I recommend 1 or even 2 things, adjustable gas block and a plus 2 gas system. It can be done with a standard rifle length. However, if you ever wanted to run a suppressor you'll get dwell timing issues.

I bet the 7.62x62 Moses would leave our RUMs in the dust.
Currently doing pressure testing on the 7.62x62 . I have 250 Atips at 3137 fps avg just testing powders to find the lowest pressure node then work the load based of that data. I will say the 300 Norma mag won’t keep up either ha
Here are are few pictures the right photo has the 33 Moses Next to the 7.62x62 Moses just for comparison

Is that a V3 hanging out on your bench? Screenshot_20250312_174953.jpg

Barrel life with such a short neck would be my first question. Lab tested pressure readings would be my second.
Chamber specs must have more freebore than a WBY cartridge. How long are the throats?

Those velocities do leave my RUM in the dust. Your 250 gr bullet is going just a hair slower than my 200 gr bullet. But, like @kodiakisland mentioned, actual lab tested pressures would be helpful when comparing.

Lab data would be nice! I’m old school read pressure signs from the bolt, primer and brass It does not lie. Some may disagree. I mean I watched a guy load his 300 prc with 88grs of n570 IMO thats stupid and sending 245 Berger’s. That’s why we can have opinions

Most pressure signs won't start to really show until you are over 70Kpsi. A well squared action will lift the bolt easy at 70+K. Almost everything written in the 60s and 70s about pressure was proven to be wrong once lab testing became feasible. You don't get something for nothing.

Comparing case volume to case volume would be good here. Whatever case volume these have, they should produce the same velocity at the same pressure as comparable case volumes do.

Barrel life is good, we have a youth shooter with a 6.5 Moses on a LA (So loaded longer) at 3.060coal with the 147s at 3080fps. He has over 2k rounds down it and still strong. Hes competed at NF twice, 3 other ELR matches with it, and one PRS.

It has my proprietary throat and I can't release those specs as I've mentioned before. I do apologize for that but business is business ya know.

Yeah, I get if you don't want to give reamer/chamber specs. It's just pretty clear it has to have quite a bit of freebore to seat the bullets out as far as you are and a lead to accommodate that. Much more than what most are used to outside of WBY chamberings.

Would still be interested to see pressure test data of your loads.

When I lift the bolt with ease, literally pull it back brass pops out inspect it, primer cup is still round, no crater that is telling me what I’m wanting to know.
With the bigger magnum cartridges I have noticed the base junction show’s you pressure if it’s there really fast! I have been shooting the 300 Norma mag before going Moses. I was maxed out at 88gr of n570 with a 215 @3160fps, I could have dropped the load down but the node was there so I took advantage of it as most do.

case volume is consistent due to quality brass. I mean I’m not going to sit down and fill 100 cases with h20 and check the difference I do 20 and that will gives me enough info that I’m looking for, It shows aswell when the sd and es is numbers lots of guys are looking for.
Sorry about my crappy wording hahaha apologies
