Well, I finally got out to shoot up some of the loads I put together with H-335. While they were definitely better than the results I got with IMR-3031 or IMR-4895, they were almost identical to the results I got with W-748. I did find out that seating the bullets out helped quite a bit, as my Savage has a loooong throat. It was a pretty hot day (over 90), but no pressure signs and the loads chrono'ed at 3350 to 3500 FPS from my 20-inch barrel. That's a variety of loads from 24.5 to 26.5 gr of H-335 and up to 27 gr of W-748...not the deviation of one charge weight! Both the 26.5 gr load of H-335 and the 27 gr load of W-748 with 50 gr Speer TNT's shot under a half inch when the breeze wasn't blowing. So I'm happy with the results. Thanks to those who suggested the H-335 to me a while back.
