I had a great hunt last week in Mississippi. Heard birds everyday. Now the bug really has me and I’m scrambling to get to Georgia or South Carolina before our season comes in here in NC.

Not much of a turkey hunter, but got lucky with a buddy and we both filled our tags on public land opening day.

Although Florida was a bust Va. opener seemed to come with Birds.

Out doing a little scouting last night and found these two putting on a show. But after watching a little longer I realized it was only one Tom and a strutting hen

Went out for MT’s opener this AM. Called in a jake that I’d have totally shot. As he came toward a bald eagle made a half swoop down in his direction. Eagle kept on keeping on but the jake booked it for the woods. Zero action after that. Fun morning on a stunner day nevertheless.
