I need to try that sometime. I just like to be able to sit without taking my pack off so I always pack them that way.

That's definitely harder my way. The good news is the pack will have a kick stand.

Kifaru straps have an anti slip mechanism. They’re pretty dang slick. Might have to cinch tight once in a while if you’re dropping your pack to rest but they’re 10x better than any other straps.

Don’t shed hunt, but found this out cruising for actual elk.
