Mid day update. Shooting light started at about 810 and ends around 550 tonight. Hit the fields first hoping to get lucky. No luck saw one die and one small buck. A field I can’t hunt but I have to drive by usually has around a dozen deer out in it. It had one today. Due to lack of action got into my blind around 845 and bumped a deer off as I walked in. I like to get in stand a little later to let the feeding deer move off. At about 1145 a doe came through and that’s been my action so far. This spot does seem to be better in the afternoons so I’m crossing my fingers for this afternoon.

Fire up the wheeler, fire up the winch, get the home hoist ready. Buck incoming and in Sask, there is no room allowed for hard work when it comes to getting a buck into the freezer
