2024 College Football šŸˆ Season starts tomorrowā€¦. Yee Yee

I thought Boise represented themselves pretty well, they exploited PSU zone coverage and made it close at times.
8-0 all time in the Fiesta Bowl, on to the Orange bowl.
We are.

BSU handled it well. That game could of turned real bad quickly, but boise weathered the early onslaught and made it a game. It does make my heart smile that Penn States defense even missing arguably the best raw talent in the country for most of the game made Jeanty look like just another dude!
It was also nice to walk out to my inlaws driveway in Nampa after the game and hear the collective tears of an entire city!

Good bowl showing for the Big Ten overall, including half of the Final Four.

But then there sits Georgiaā€¦ it would not surprise me to see them come in and remind the country that the SEC is still the boss.
GA has to get past ND first, I'm not even counting on that happening. The Irish have seemed to be peaking at the right time, and coming into a quarter final with a freshman QB is a big order for any team.
Either way, half of the semi finals will be B1G.

Should be a good game. My guess is Georgia wins, but I certainly wouldnā€™t put much money in it.

Unrelated, but I wonder if we will see a change in the future to the higher seed having home games in the semifinal round? Hard to imagine the Rose Bowl going away, but besides that it doesnā€™t seem like it would be a bad thing.

In the future, seeing a team like Arizona St or Miami traveling to Michigan for a January game would be interesting.

Iā€™m a UGA fan. They will be without their starting QB. Their WRs have more drops this season than any other team in the nation. Two of the five scholarship RBs are out due to injury. Every offensive lineman has been injured and missed at least one game at some point this season. The defense is good but not great this season, with an exploitable secondary AND D-line.

They are not as good this season as previous seasons. Not saying that they will lose, but I have a lot less confidence in them than previous seasons

Seems like a first round buy is already a pretty good reward for making the top 4, and agreed I don't see the Sugar, Rose, Fiesta and Peach bowls giving up their spots, there is huge money involved in those 4 games.

Good luck Oregon fans, but I think they lose.. Georgia will probably win. Iā€™ll be shocked if Texas doesnā€™t win.
I guess you didnt watch SC, BAMA, or the A&M game? The sec is over rated. And has been for a long time.

Find you a girl that loves you like SEC homers love B grade college football.

The sec is over rated.
Check back with me after the games today.

Just a reminder since you didn't watch the games. Michigan also beat Ohio State at Ohio State.

Bama was 6th in the SEC standings and lost by 6 to Michigan. Not that much different than Ohio State who lost at home. SC was 8th in the SEC standings and lost by 4. Texas A&M lost by 4 pts and 9th in the SEC standings. All of those teams combined lost by 14 points.

Yep, overrated. :D

They werenā€™t overrated when Saban had a lock on ā€œcome to me and Iā€™ll make you richā€ā€¦NIL evened the bribe and created an auction block transfer portal.

Funny, that you pretend that Michigan, Ohio. State, USC, etc weren't paying players. There is a reason that the same teams were dominant year after year, and it wasn't "coaching".

My high school coach was paid by Nike in the 70s, and he was just a track guy. Yep, an Olympic level track guy, but a track guy.

But, I'm glad it's all above board. I don't think it's quite fair since some teams have more money, but at least, everyone knows why.

Of course they were doing it, but no one did it better than Saban. And no one has been more vociferous than Coach Nick against NIL.

You know what's easy? Convincing athletic teenagers to go the colleges in nice climates and party.

Id like to see the colleges institute NILE instead of NIL. Astounding the level of communication degrees the NCAA hands out to individuals incapable of having a simple conversation.

Either make it Pro-Am with NIL and drop the education period, or reinstate STUDENT-Athlete and NIL payments after semester report cards pending Pass/Fail. One failure, sports stop, payment stops.

Pat McAfee jabbed him for it on the pregame last weekend and he got ultra-defensive.

Sabanā€™s reaction seemed performativeā€¦ like dude, thou protest a bit too much here.

Their performance against Wisconsin still has me spooked. The Badgers were garbage this season and took that game down to the wire.

Iā€™m picking Ohio St. in a close one, but low degree of confidence.
It was Oregonā€˜s eighth game in eighth straight weeks without a buy that team was physically and mentally worn out,

Wisconsin had a buy and was laying in the weeds waiting and with the game on the line at the fourth quarter break Oregon down a touchdown it was fourth and nine,

Camp Randall was going mental. It was jump around time , you would think Oregon wouldā€™ve been intimidated and feeling the pressure but what did they do , they stole Wisconsinā€™s rally song then completed the fourth and nine and outscored Wisconsin 10-0 in the fourth quarter all year long thatā€™s how Oregonā€™s been theyā€™re just in a different place mentally, this clip was shot from a Oregon assistant, things you donā€™t see during the commercial break

Then Oregon had a by week destroyed the Huskies sacked them 10 times and then went and dropped 45 on Penn State in the championship game when Ohio State and Boise only managed 20 points and 14 respectively against the PSU D
