2023 spring turkey!

I’m down in Hamilton County IL this weekend chasing birds on public. We got our a**** kicked this morning and there’s weather blowing in now for tonight and maybe tomorrow. Gonna be tough but hoping for better luck tomorrow. Doesn’t seem to be as many birds on public as years past.

Harvested my Colorado spring turkey this morning. On one of the shanks the skin under the feathers appeared slightly green - Cutting into the shank there was very green green in between all the muscles. No visible wound or old wound in the area. Not much meat in there anyway so I discarded it but any one know what this is?
